Few knew
your name, but you were always there for us to regain strength. Few knew
A coffee, a croissant, a chocolate milk ..... For many wore
there forever, or at least our whole college life.
You were witness of friends and loves that are formed and broken.
accomplice when we wanted to celebrate a birthday or a farewell. Dress like the power
increased the number of students from year to year, and how to decrease again.
breakfast, lunch and snacks until we left without saying goodbye and most of the time, you were always there when we came back, behind the bar.
Always the coffee ready to wake early in the morning.
But one day you were gone.
"Cancer" is rumored for the classrooms and corridors damn word. We asked
fear for your health and the waitresses did not know how to respond.
spent over a year without seeing you and finally, the news came as a note affixed to the door of the cafeteria.
skewers mid-morning and not be the same.
no longer see your face in permanent care, although we were only two for coffee. Your forgetting
"gave me 5 or 10?", Your comings and goings behind the bar, your kind words before exams.
None knew where you lived, who was your family or your hobbies. Much less what you did while you were in college, even how old were you, nothing.
But all miss you.
